Welcome to the Serre de Pomaret

Our three cottages are located at Le Serre de Pomaret, an ancient farm in the Cevennes mountains in the South of France. This is a UNESCO-listed World Heritage Cultural Landscape and National Park. The author of Treasure Island, Robert Louis Stevenson, recounted his crossing of the Cevennes with his donkey Modestine in his book ‘Travels with a Donkey in the Cevennes’.

Our cottages are facing south, they are three in number: yellow and pink. Each cottage has a capacity of four places is independent and our nw cottage with a capacity of four at six places.

Our family has lived at Le Serre since the sixteenth century, , silkworms were bred hère.Now, we grow the traditional Cevenol sweet onions, for which we have a Protected Designation of Origin (AOP) listing.

The environment of the Cevennes is magical and untouched. It is the perfect destination for those who want a peaceful holiday in harmony with nature.

During your stay, there are so many treasures to discover : from hiking and river swimming, to market days, caves, museums and a wealth of natural and historical sites.

We also have an above-ground pool filled with spring water, some 300 metres away from the gites along a small path. All of our guests are welcome to use this pool.
